The society hosts the annual village bonfire celebrations and raises money throughout the year for local charities and good causes
BEETLE DRIVE
Saturday 11thMay. A fun family night out suitable for all ages - Staplecross Village Hall at 6.30pm. Entry £2 adult, £1 children. Prizes for the winners. Hot food will be available at £3 adult, £2 children - must be booked in advance, ring Marion Brown on 01580 765764.
BIKE RIDE
Sunday 19th May. Join us for our family bike ride! Starting at Winchelsea Beach, you can choose a leisurely route across the marsh to Rye Harbour, or test yourself by climbing towards Fairlight and Hastings.
Have a great day, with BBQ to follow and raise funds to enable us to continue the great Sussex tradition of Bonfire!
Choose your route and sign up as much sponsorship as possible – as a guide, try to raise a minimum of £20 per adult.
The starting point is River Brede Farm (sat nav:TN34 6LA) at Winchelsea Beach – turn off at bad bend, about 1km between A259 and Winchelsea Beach village.
BBQ from about 1pm onwards so time your arrival and bike ride to fit in with this.
Bring food to BBQ and alcohol (if you want to!)– bread, salad, soft drinks etc wil be provided.

Bring a bottle for drinking water, and sunscreen if needed. Helmets are advised for all, and MUST be worn by children.
